Demonstrates mature forms in locomotor, and manipulative skills (ex. Locomotor- run, jump, skip; non-locomotor- bend, stretch, lunge; manipulative- catching, throwing, kicking) |

movement patterns. (e.g. describes the use of the arms, as well as the
legs, in performing the running long jump for maximum distance). |
Student analyzes and applies basic concepts to improve movement,
dance, fitness, game and sports skills being practiced (e.g., throws softball
different distances using varied trajectories and amounts of force). |
Student employs the concept of efficient and effective practice
to improve skills in appropriate settings (e.g. repeating the skill of basketball lay-ups in a gym or playground setting). |
Demonstrate offensive strategies in competition setting. Analyzes and applies
advanced movement and game strategies (e.g., guards another player who is
dribbling a basketball, attempts to prevent a pass or shot; demonstrates game
strategies involved in playing tennis, pickle ball, bounce ball). |
|
STANDARD 3: Physical Fitness - Achieves and maintains a health-enhancing level of
physical fitness. |
Identifies one activity to improve each component of
health-related fitness. Participates in self-assessment for health-related fitness. |
Participates in self-assessment for health-related fitness and
scores slightly below the National Standard Physical Fitness test for all
five assessments for their appropriate age group. |
Participates in self-assessment for health-related fitness and
meets the standards for the 50 percentile in the National Standard Physical
Fitness testing for all five assessments for their appropriate age group. |
Participates in self-assessment for health-related fitness and meets the standards for the 85 percentile in the National Standard Physical Fitness testing for all five assessments for their appropriate age group. |
|
