AutoCad II Practices

Analyze a more extensive use of Cad in the following:  Basic Windows, Dimensioning & Variables, Blocks & W - Blocks, Symbols Libraries, Text &Notes, Attributes, Isometrics.

Construct dimensions that will be true to the graphic representation.

Identify a plotting schedule will be provided on each drawing defining screen colors and pen weights used to create the drawing.

Identify standard text fonts used on the drawings provided by AutoCad and ASG.

Solid Works Practices

Analyze  the basics of solid modeling techniques.

Chief Architect Practices

Analyze a architectural design effectively and produce plans, 3D models and  full working drawings.

Construct  floor plans for construction drawings will be drawn at a scale of 1/4" per ft.  If this is not feasible , downsizing is permitted to 1/8" or 1/16".  Increasing size of the floor plans is permissible by a factor of 18" per ft.  (Example, 3/8", 1/2"

Building elevations, interior elevations and building cross sections shall be drawn at a minimum of 1/4" per ft.

Drawing details and sections shall be drawn in scale utilizing either 1/2" = 1'-0, 1' = 1'-0, 1 1/2" = 1' -0, 3' = 1' -0.

All electronic drawings files will be drawn to limits, scale: no electronic files will be accepted when drawings are plotted at a different scale than what is shown on the drawing.  All drawings will have conventional architectural and engineering scales.

Read, interpret and use technical drawings, documents and specifications to plan a project of a model house to scale.

Identify the on line occupational outlook handbook about the drafting occupation.
