project. Safely operate tools and equipment to correctly layout and cut necessary joints needed in the construction of student projects. |

Perform procedures in the construction of a project |
Identify
and construct the views of a three view project drawing. Label
and determine the dimensions of each part of the project from the given
drawing, create a bill of materials and calculate the cost of the project. Identify
types of wood available in the lab. Identify
types of lumber defects found in solid wood. Identify
sheet materials used in the construction of the project. Follow
given procedures to properly square a piece of material Identify
and construct basic wood joints used in the construction of student projects. Identify
types of abrasives used in the finish preparation on student projects. Operate
necessary equipment to correctly prepare projects for finish. Follow
the correct procedure to apply stain to student projects. Apply
necessary wood fillers , color putties and finish wax to finished projects. Calculate
board foot and square foot for given materials |
