Develop an understanding of the career opportunities to Ind. Tech. |
Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between coursework, school activities, community activities and career clusters. Evaluate their own Foundation Knowledge and Skills in relationship to their goals for learning, earning and living. Differentiate between career fields , clusters and Pathways on the Nebraska Career Fields/ Cluster Model. Be
able to utilize information to access career information. Be
able to make connections between personal strengths/interests and work
careers. Be
able to participate in a career exploration activity in a module setting
involving projects. List
and understand a variety of extended school based and community base options
to explore careers on a field trip. Identify,
compare and contrast postsecondary education options. Identify
postsecondary options in relationship to the career clusters Understand
the importance of school subjects through videos where adults relate their
use of knowledge and skills required in their occupations to subjects taught
in school. Become
familiar with employment opportunities available in Nebraska and local area
and types of skills needed to fill those jobs.. Participate
in a field trip to observe and ask questions of employers and employees of
one or manufacturing or construction firms. Master
