CONTENT	ACHIEVEMENT STANDARDS	PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Creativity and Innovation	Demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology.	Apply existing knowledge to generate new ideas, products or processes. Create original works as a means of personal or group expression. Use drawing tools for creative expression.
Communication and Collaboration	Use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others.	Use basic applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and graphics) Refine documents using spell check, thesaurus, and grammar check tools. Compose and produce a variety of business documents and reports using correct style, format and content. Enhance documents through the use of advanced layout, design and graphics production software and scanning hardware. Use multimedia software to create projects to enhance academic achievement across the curriculum. Work cooperatively with peers and authority figures. Develop sensitivity for and an awareness of cultural diversity.
Research and Information Fluency	Apply digital tools to gather, evaluate and use information.	Use a wide variety of information technology resources to retrieve information. Evaluate the credibility of information sources. Cite sources of all types of data. Use search procedures appropriate to type of information, nature of source and nature of query.

Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision Making	Use critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources.	Select and use appropriate tools and technology resources to solve problems. Use spreadsheets to analyze and organize data. Create charts to display results.
Digital Citizenship	Understand human, cultural and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior.	Explain the risks and dangers of sharing personal information. Discuss dangers of internet predators. Discuss rules of safe and appropriate conduct when using the internet and e-mail. Apply the rules of digital communication etiquette. Discuss basic issues related to responsible use of technology and describe personal or legal consequences of inappropriate use. Demonstrate legal and ethical behaviors when using information technologies.
Technology Operations and Concepts	Demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems and operations.	Identify components of hardware. Navigate the basic operating systems. Manage files and folders. Communicate with technology terms. Develop proper input techniques.
