Many different types of crops are grown and animals raised for food in the United States. What is grown and where it is grown is dependent on some important factors.

How are the factors related to where they are grown?
What is a "growing season"?
What is a belt (wheat belt, corn belt)?
What types of animals are raised for food in the United States?
What factors influence where they are raised?
When you and the other agriculturalists have completed this research, you need to join your team and begin your virtual tour around the United States. As you visit each of the 17 states and Washington, D.C., identify the crops grown and animals raised for food in each state. You should record data to support your findings.
